"A journey of a 1000 miles begins with the first step"
If you've got this far, then this is YOUR first step...
Life is so busy, our loved ones don't have time to listen...
We don't want to burden the ones we love the most...
Sometimes its the ones we love the most that are causing such troubles, heartache and despair...
No matter what the issue, concern or problem is... I will have an open door, a listening ear and a non judgmental approach to working through your struggles and together the weight will get lighter and the road ahead become clearer.
Trust the process ~ together ~ one step at a time
I have always been the go-to person amongst family and friends for all things problematic in life. I often joke that I’ve been counselling my entire life. I’m a grateful and blessed mother of three, and I will never take the gift of motherhood for granted. However, I readily admit that it is the most difficult job in the world.
On a professional note, I spent the majority of my adult years working for Aer Lingus as Cabin Crew, where many counselling sessions took place in the back galley. When COVID-19 hit in 2020, like many of us; I started analysing every aspect of my life. I decided after 17 years, it was time to leave the skies and it was then I began my journey in to Counselling.
My business name, "Clear the Clouds," holds a double meaning: it reflects my time with Aer Lingus and my own mental health journey over the years; The clouds of the mind often become too foggy, and need clearing to see the path ahead.
I love all things holistic; anything to do with energy, crystals, incense, meditation & mindfulness. I adore a good reflexology, reiki or sound bath session for balancing the body/mind. As a natural empath, I genuinely feel the emotions of others on a deep level, which can be both a blessing and a curse within the counselling room.
Although I loved my career in the airlines, I have never felt as comfortable as when sitting in front of a client, helping them navigate through life’s struggles to clear their own clouds of the mind & I shall look forward to having the opportunity to do the same with you.
"My experiences remind me that it's those black clouds that make the blue skies even more beautiful"
~ Kelly Clarkson
My private practice aims to create a home from home therapy space where I will welcome you with no judgement and in complete confidence (regardless if already known to me previously).
Together, we will explore and navigate through your backpack of life's struggles that may be weighing you down.
I will always have a nice coffee on hand for my clients and hold a safe space just to be present with your thoughts, feelings and emotions.
"Just because no one can heal or do your inner work for you...
doesn't mean you can, should or need to do it alone"
~ Lisa Olivera
Presentations and areas I feel confident working with include:
(to name but a few... )
I am qualified and certified to work with adults, adolescents, young people and children.
My preferred age for working with young people is from 12yrs upwards.
I work as an Integrated therapist; I naturally have a holistic approach to my therapy style.
I believe there are many avenues to therapy and no one size fits all.
For me, the most important part is building that relationship with the client in order to create safety and trust in order for my client to feel at ease to open up.
However I will always be guided by the clients needs, best interests and gut feelings.
I offer 1-1 face to face sessions (my preferred option) in my purpose created therapy space.
Upon request or to facilitate the inability to attend in person, I can offer over the phone or zoom sessions also.
I can accommodate 'walk and talk' therapy along one of the country's most beautiful river fane walkways (for those that are of interest). There is something very powerful in a conversation with someone that truely listens, hears and feels your troubles, no matter big or small... that can simply be therapy in its finest form. Walk and talk therapy can be arranged 100m from the therapy room.
"When I have been listened to and when I have been heard,
I am able to re-perceive my world in a new way and to go on" ~ Carl Rogers

Sessions will usually combine a mix of holistic, mindful and professional therapy approaches, and always guided by the needs of the client. Couple counselling and counselling children younger than age 12yrs will be on my agenda in 2025.. however I have built a list of referral contacts so don't hesitate to get in touch.
Any cancellations within 24hrs must be notified and received with genuine reason for non attendance. Any cancellations or no shows within 12 hours will be charged at full session fee. This is simply to accommodate my time and to be respectful that another client could have taken the appointment.
I will always have a warm cup of tea or nespresso coffee upon arrival. Toilet facilities on site and ample car parking in Magees (XL supermarket) forecourt or at the back of the blue building.
Access is through the blue door adjacent to the road (as seen in photo below)

Clients must be comfortable using stairs or alternative arrangements can be made.
I am confident counselling is a beneficial investment for everyone!
Here’s is an idea of some of the benefits in my own experience and opinion...
1. Emotional Support ~ creating a safe space and validating your emotional needs and concerns. I am a person outside of your known family circle that can help you feel heard and understood.
2. Self Awareness ~ I can help you create a better sense of self, esteem, motivation and zest for life again. Recognising patterns of limiting beliefs or negative behaviours and creating a toolbox to work through these in order of priority.
3. Mental Health Support ~ For those dealing with mental health issues like anxiety, depression, PTSD or chronic stress, counselling can be an essential part of managing symptoms and improving quality of life.
- Preventive Care: Even if you’re not experiencing a specific mental health issue, counselling can help prevent problems from developing by addressing stress, life transitions, or other challenges early on.
- Unpacking the baggage of your life experiences as oftentimes, it is the daily stress that becomes too intolerable and you don't know why... when in fact these stresses are rooted as part of your childhood and have been repressed over years in order to survive.
4. Empowerment ~ Personal growth and control over life again.
Through counselling, you can experience personal growth, becoming more confident and self-assured. Whether you’re facing specific challenges or simply seeking personal growth, counselling can be a valuable tool for improving your overall well-being.
